Sibarist Etkin 8-Cup Fast Filters

I love how the SIBARIST coffee filter packaging states "EXTRACT YOUR PASSION" under where you open it up, and I know that if you are reading this post, you have a passion for excellent coffee. A couple of the other statements written on the packaging include "Reinvent your recipes, reach new cups and rediscover your coffees". To which I say yes, yes, and yes again! I believe I was one of the first people in the United States to purchase an Etkin 8-cup dripper, but I only recently discovered these filters. They were made to fit the dripper perfectly. The price initially put me off from trying them; they cost about 50 cents (US) per filter, and then you have to fold them yourself. I didn't think they would be worth the cost, and I questioned why I had to fold the filters - couldn't they be packaged pre-formed? After using my first package of filters, I now believe I couldn't have been more wrong. From a practical perspective, sending the filters flat is brilliant because they were made especially for Etkin in Spain. Also, going through this short ritual for my pour-over coffee reminds me of when my mother made coffee; she made a ceremony out of it, and her's was a drip brewer. When I think of the cost of an excellent pour-over at a coffee shop, I can make several cups of coffee using Etkin for less than the cost of a single cup at a coffee shop, so it's cost-effective, too. I love my coffee made with my Etkin 8-cup pour-over and Sibarist filters. Coffee time isn't just "get some caffeine in me" time; now I can taste all those notes listed on every bag of coffee beans. Thanks Etkin, and thanks Sibarist!

The filter works fantastic in the Etkin 8 cup. My only issue is that I have to take the round disc and push it into the Etkin. Sometimes I don't know how good of a job I do. It's not formed you have to just form it into the brewer. Once I do that though, it works great it's very fast and the coffee comes out really full bodied nd smooth.

By far the BEST filters for this brewer! I wish they made the same one for the 2 cup!

I bought the Etkin 8-cup, 1,5 liter carafe and a pack of Sibarist filters because I wanted to brew large pour-over brews for guests. I was not ready to settle for an automated solution. This manual pour over setup is out of this world.
The sibarist filters improves the brew in my opinion. They give me the ability to highlight a lot of the notes, I enjoy in light roast coffees.
The 8-cup dripper gives me the ability to make a lot of coffe that I like and I want to serve my guests.

I’ve enjoyed using the 8 cup dripper for large family or friends gatherings to make a batch pour over, but the results I’m getting with now using the Sibarist Fast filters is on another level!
